Exercise A: |
-
Stretches side of the torso
-
Restores mobility to the ribcage
-
Significantly reduces tension in the shoulders
|
 |
|
How to Stretch: Do the stretches slowly and deliberately. Stretch gently. As soon as you notice discomfort, tightness or pain, pause until irritation has ceased before you continue the stretch. |
 |
|
-
With your palms together, roll your arms and shoulders to the left
-
Your hips should remain on the floor
-
Take a deep breath and relax your head, neck and spine
-
For variation, try raising your arms so your fingertips are extended slightly above the level of your forehead.
|
Hint: Overworked tissues repair faster when they are stretched softly and carefully. |
This is an excellent exercise for improving the range of motion of the ribcage and shoulders, and releasing the latissimus, a large, flat muscle often involved in shoulder pain and discomfort.

Back pain:
Generally we are used to having a sore lower back, it's one of those things we like to complain about and we tend to convince ourselves that it's part of life; something that happens to us as we grow older.
Solutions : While a massage will help soothe the pains in you lower back, it is not a long term cure so I propose massage mixed with education in postural realignment.
Head Aches
Life is stressful; Headaches are common and are often a result from stress in day to day life. Stress is not only in the mind, it is a physical condition; tight shoulders or a back injury can all contribute to a throbbing headache.
Solution : A massage once in a while will help loosen up stored stress form your muscles.
Tight shoulders
Our shoulders respond very quickly to stress, and if we don't manage the stress for extended periods of time they can become very sore
Solution :
A massage once in a while will help loosen up and relax. It's good to get a massage head to toe as your mussels are all interconnected. In some cases taking preemptive measures is necessary and Muni Dubrau will propose postural realignment coaching.
Stiff neck:
Chest crapms:
Tennis elbow:
Although not so common elbows can also become sore and inflamed. Generally it comes down to overworked joints.
Solution :
Muni Dubrau will propose postural realignment and movement coaching.
RSI/Hands and Wrists:
RSI is a common problem of today with a large number of people using computers in the work force. In most cases our tendons get sore due to bad posture over extended periods.
Solution :A massage from head to toe is a good start because it will loosen up your tendons which have become sore and sometime inflamed.
Knee pains:
Sore Knees are often a result from over and misuse during physical exercise.
Solution :
Postural realignment and movement coaching will also be advised.
Feet pain:
Having sore feet is horrible, anytime you need to go somewhere who pays the price… your feet do, you want to keep fit and in shape who suffers, your feet do, you…
Solution :
Go on treat yourself, have your feet massaged by a professional. All those years of walking, I bet your feet deserve it!
